i know i say this every time i write, but it's been a while. but things are going well. i have one more week of my VISTA year term of service left. i'm looking for a job with a couple of prospects. there's another non-profit job in everett i would really like. it'd be a change of pace in many ways, plus full time, good pay and with benefits (i feel so god damned adult some times). other possibilites include looking for office type jobs in the area, or working as a security job locally, too, such as the local casino.
in other news, i completely suck at nanowrimo this year. or the really cool one thating athlete. consarnit But, it's getting me working Towards Something.

Continuing effort "to update the blog. here goes:
Today Was A Productive pretty darn day. I Nearly impressed myself. Before i woke up 8 to pack myself a lunch and Exercise clothes, and Then I trekked to bellingham. oh, bellingham. what a wonderful place it is. i woke up early so That i could go to to the barnes and nobel to check out Their GRE prep books. I've read online about Them, But WAS Able to make a final decision only after seeing Them in person (not to mention the price). for the record, For Those considering the general GRE test, I recommended the free supplimental WITH princeton review GRE tests. the PR book by far has the MOST test prep, But Lacks straight in practice. so i jump up to a Used book store and found a book with practice tests with 6 in it for pretty cheap. combined...i'll do much better on this test than i'll have to.
in fact, it was reinforced to me today that western's program is very, very selective. and that's ok. i enjoy the idea of challenging myself to get accepted into a selective program. but they ask for requirements that i don't have...yet. three classes - psych 101, abnormal psych and psych stats. and the GRE. my plan is to still apply to western and my other choices. but i'm taking the GRE primarily for western. and i plan on registering for classes beginning winter quarter at the skagit community college...western people have told me that they could admit me into the program if i have't taken the necessary classes only if i have them finished by enrollment time. well....a ver. i hope theya) grant me an interview, and b) i interview well.
Otherwise, i kind of like the idea of challenge. this has come through in Various Ways. as of a week ago, i got an itch to move to rowing full time, same warm ups and abs. I've Been checking out online forums and times ... and it Interests me to try to Be competitive with people close to my height, weight and age to see how well we erg. and I'll continue to do core work outs.
And Then with the GRE ... purchesing after my materials ... Actually I'm kind of excited to test myself (remove literally) to see how well i do on it. Usually, and Especially for a high school counseling program, the GRE is not a huge factor in Determining Acceptance Into a program. What I've seen from on schools' own websites, Manyjust want to make sure you Are Above A Certain score. some, pero, Do not have a standard, pero Solely compare you to Applicants That year alone. Either way, I'm psyching myself to care enough about the test to prepare over the next weeks twevle That as best i can. man ... i miss school. weird. Have ensembles

teh_parkland'm in, as the hip kids say These Days. luckily i have friends in good place. consist of excellent dinner tonight (india mahal), excellent company (andrew, tabby, kathryn and jamie r.), and a wonderful party. It Was Anna fulton's birthday party. or, I've wanted since a long time. since we have known. and it was wonderful to see her. There Were Many wonderful people there, Including (But Not limited to) emily smith, david Goeke, luke and matt, joy, megan, ben, and liz). but I'm always excited when I have the opportunity to see my friend redhead. although I will not give his name now, just need to know that I love him and that is very beautiful.
so yeah. Been cool this weekend so far. i Spent yesterday with lucas and to

sooooooooooooooooo ... i joined the ymca and Have Been exercising. just club stuff - almost Exclusively eliptical machines, Though I've Been erging (rowing) three times a week to compliment the running regimen. I'd prolly more row, But I burn fewer calories doing it. i like it, Though, Because it is a full body workout and aids in toning. Thought i had to do a combo weight training and aerobic workout schedule, But for now, the running and rowing will do me well. why is this so important? Are members in my office Participating in a "Biggest Loser" challenge. we're supposed to put 50 bucks in. Biggest loser wins MOST of it ... Their second place wins money back. So There Is There Some incentive. Not to mention Being in much better physical health.
congratulations to all those who graduated! i cheered loudly, i did.
i am excited for the summer. future highlights likely to be included: a trip to montana; several paying gigs; a cruise to mexico; and warm weather. no birthday party this year, however. i really wanted to have another kick ass shindig in celebration of that wonderful day i exited my mommy's tummy and entered into this world. or something. but then i realized exactly how awesome my party last year was and knew it could never be matched, and thought i would leave it at that. that and i will be in montana seeing a rerun of a wedding i saw in january. except this time it's like george lucas and steven spielberg got a hold of it and added special effects, such as

But really, Things Are well. i work. i play. Things i do in between. Lately I've (as in the past 24 hours) Been getting more interested in. poker. er, Should I say, re-interested in poker. Now That i have steady Income, i wonder if it Would not Be Totally Against All That I Should do to begin gambling again, online or not. Not only is it illegal to gamble online in this state, pero i believe it's illegal to make online gambling transactions from in this country, save gambling on horse racing. feel free to correct me here and now if you like. otherwise, i do not think i have the bankroll to gamble in the casino. I'd feel comfortable with only 100 bucks at a time on the felt .... And That's not really possible, unless i get a slough of gigs in a weekend.
speaking of gigs, it's concert season. i had one last weekend, three this weekend. Following the one, Though I'll Not Be Able to make it, And Then a parade in late May ( the parade if you're in the North Sound area). only one of the Above Mentioned is paying gigs. and it Went well.

Daily Behavior Report Cards rejection - the kind that's self induced, rejection - the tongue that's bitten-through ...
Primarily inspired by a meme Later to Be Seen, here's an update.
awesome weekend! Spent Some Time the analucas s, which was awesome. We Went on friday night out to the people's pub of ballard. a very nice place. Even people There Were There. the next day the Treat me to dinner and we Went out for some "iced cream" and m & ms. and foster's home for imaginary friends. a very good cartoon. They Even Have A Who is hispanohabalante character. than good. But
entre friday and saturday night, i Spent Some Time at a beer festival. in FACT i vulunteered to pour beer for over three hours. It Was tons of fun. i shared Responsibilities of two taps with a very nice guy Who Taught me a bit about beerfests in general. Especially about how to abuse the sstem. more on that momentarily. we manned two widmere taps - the w'07 pale ale and their drop top amber ale. both beers are pretty good. i prefer the pale ale. it has more substance to it - a more complex flavor. the amber is very good, as well - very crisp. (while i was there i picked up the bullshit lingo on describing beer.)
anyway, the suckers who paid to get in received 6 wooden drink tokens and a 5 oz plastic cup for the beer sampling. and it was our responsibility as pourers to receive their tokens first, place them in the appropriate jar, and then supply the consumer with beer. well, that only happened about half the time. between the other guy and i we prolly snagged about 10 extras. i only grabbed four myself. however, my token count was augmented wk with your ankles behind your ears That Would A Few bells ring.

looooong time no update. i remember waiting three or more weeks before updating in the past year and not expecting many comments. i though maybe that was because people respond to those who update regularly. but my last update proved that theory wrong! we'll see how this one goes.
the tuba is going well. i have a student performing at solo and ensemble in a little over a week. he'll do very well i know. though his practicing habbits remind me of mine own throughout college. it's hard to practice tuba if you don't like solo literature. because the parts are genuinely easy as pie.
but as far as performing, the horn is well. i had three gigs last weekend. two was with the skagit valley concert band. both gigs were great, though the first was besmoercki, an old schoolmate from b'ham high school. i also had the hottest buffaloe wings i'll proll ever have publically.
anyway, apparenly i drunkenly agreed to go to a hockey game in everett tomorrow night. so i'm going. i'm still not sure whether i have to pay, but i don't think i do. if my sloshed memory serves me right, wally was given several tickets to the game for free. and since we're car pooling with him, i'm just responsible for food. hey, either way, i'll bring a flask and really enjoy myself.
moving on. you ass! just saying.

Nose Causing Blood In Phlegm why don't you...come over...
Briefly after perusing old posts, i made the observation february Apparently That is a bad month for posting for me. i just like making excuses, really.
so ... yeah. my day was ok. it started of really, really well. ass i got up early (it's Been a While Since I've Used That phrase) to get to Everett by 7 s, which i did. Before I Arrive fifteen minutes my co-worker Who lives in Everett. Approximately half a mile from the center. * Glare * moving on. We had a meeting at the local school science teachers with Which Went very, very well. That Was the brilliant part. if we work a little bit, maybe this project will take off ... Actually I'd mention more about work and co-workers, But It Might Be tough to describe. Everything is good save one part. and you just kind of h

How To Tell If U Have Crabs

i reeive my certificate for basic mediation training today. woohoo! What does That mean? good question. Almost it's as vague as my job description.
my oh my, how i miss friends. and parties. but mostly friends. to ya'll, Another May we see one soon.
again, thank you anna and lucas. and darren. Should we go out soon (it's a points ... Anyone get it?), Even Though you'll beat me Because of your lesson.
